Age(s) - Each alternate universe you get to explore

Bevin - The hood Styled after the original Bevin hood (only neighborhood available right now)

D'ni - An underground cavern in Earth. Also refers to the people who once lived there and their language.

Eddie - The beachball found in Bevin

Ferry - Lower city section also called "Ferry Terminal"
Firemarbles - Small self powered lights. Sometimes seen on the ground in Bevin
Flamer - Someone who makes inflammatory, abusive or directly offensive comments. Similar to, but not quite the same as an Internet troll.

Home page - The website's introduction page, starting point, and guide. The technical term is "index"

Instance - One of a set of identical (or nearly identical) Age areas. Players in different instances will not see or hear each other; changes made in one instance will not affect any other instances. (Example: everyone begins the game in a different instance of Relto.)

lag - Slang term for slow Internet speeds or high Internet latency; lag is sometimes due to a server problem, but more frequently due to the connection between client and server. A slow or intermittent connection; may often be referred to as laggy
Lamer - A know-nothing, one who is lame.
Lattice- The Lattice is the D'ni "computer system" that manages the Nexus and communication with the KIs.
Link/linking - Teleporting from one Age to another

Hood - The small area linked to, from the first book on your bookshelf. (also called "Neighborhood)

Newbie, newb, n00b - An inexperienced user of a system or game, or an annoying person. Usually a derogatory term for someone inexperienced at a game.

Relto - The Age you start out in (in Uru live)
RL: Real Life
rel.to - Rel.to is a portal (Full Directory) to the community in and around Cyan Worlds' adventure and exploration games, the "Myst" and "Uru" series.......http://rel.to/

Smiley - Another name for emoticons
Snail mail - Normal paper mail service

Tweedler - One who has deep love for all computer related technology and gadgets
